BLURB:
HARRY DRESDEN — WIZARD

Lost Items Found. Paranormal Investigations. Consulting. Advice. Reasonable Rates. No Love Potions, Endless Purses, or Other Entertainment.

Harry Dresden is the best at what he does. Well, technically, he's the only at what he does. So when the Chicago P.D. has a case that transcends mortal creativity or capability, they come to him for answers. For the "everyday" world is actually full of strange and magical things—and most don't play well with humans. That's where Harry comes in. Takes a wizard to catch a—well, whatever. There's just one problem. Business, to put it mildly, stinks.

So when the police bring him in to consult on a grisly double murder committed with black magic, Harry's seeing dollar signs. But where there's black magic, there's a black mage behind it. And now that mage knows Harry's name. And that's when things start to get interesting.

Magic - it can get a guy killed.

So Lindsay from Booktube has been recommending this book in many many videos and she is I think on book 15 or something of this series and according to her it is still really good so yeah, I decided to join the club too!

THE WORLD: Just like ours except for the supernatural creatures.

CHARACTERS: So the plot really centers around one main character - Harry Dresden. He is a Wizard and actually a really powerful one. What can I say about Harry? Frankly I really liked him, he is funny and tends to get himself in trouble a lot. Also, I rather liked the way he was handling things as well as explaining it to the reader. For example, if somebody looks in the eyes of the wizard they might see inside his soul. Scary things but also really cool when you think about. Because of Harry's not such an angelic past he is assigned a Warden Morgan by the White Counsel of wizards. Basically, Morgan is out for Harry. He disliked him and assumes he is the one killing people from the start. However, despite all this I rather like Morgan too, not in a way that OMG he is so cool but more in a way that he is not annoying. Additionally we also have a few cops as well as Victor aka the bad guy. Frankly, the story itself was rather unique for me. It is like Urban Fantasy mixed up with a very good Crime novel.

LOVE: There is a little bit of romance going on for Harry but it is very very far from the center of this book.

PLUS: The mix of magic and crime in one book. I felt really involved in this story, wanted to know why and who and was really eager for answers. But at the same time I was also interested in just hearing Harry rambling at time. It was like a perfect balance between all the things.

MINUS: Cannot really point any out. It was a good read without any obvious flaws.

OVERALL: It is definitely not YA and I really loved it about this book. I am definitely continuing with the series!
